The First Sunday of Advent
Another liturgical year begins, and we set out on the journey of preparation for the Advent of God in the person of Jesus Christ at Christmas. May this journey be a means for us to grow in hope, peace, joy and love.
In many parts of the world, Christmas decorations, lights and products in stores and shops have already been put up, most at times with no Christian focus. As followers of Christ here in Ellesmere Port, may our journey over the weeks leading to Christmas be focused on what we actually celebrate: The Birth of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
