Eucharistic Procession from the Church

31st MAY 2026

By Father Godlove

Next Sunday, 7th June, we celebrate the Solemnity of The Most Holy Body & Blood of Christ. It is customary to have a public procession with the Blessed Sacrament as a public honouring of Jesus Christ present in the Eucharist. This is a public profession of belief in Christ’s real presence in the Eucharist. It is not simply a walk or a parade, but an act of worship outside Mass. I would like to invite us all to turn out for this procession and make a public declaration of our faith in Jesus, and our belief that He is truly present in the Eucharist.

Next Sunday, there’ll be a Eucharistic Procession from the Church to the Westminster Car park (near Princes Road) and back to Church again (i.e. Church > Whitby Road > Princes Road > Woodfield Road and back again). According to Google Maps, this is a 5 minute-walk one way). This will start after the 9am Mass and return in time for the 11am Mass. This makes it possible for those attending the 9am Mass to take part in the procession, and for those attending the 11am Mass to gather at the Westminster car park and process back to Church ahead of the 11am Mass. Please come along with a friend, or two, or three. Praised be Jesus!
