Grotto Mass

Celebrate Mass at the Grotto, the very place where Our Lady appeared to Saint Bernadette in 1858. This special celebration offers an opportunity to pray at the heart of the Lourdes Sanctuary, uniting with pilgrims gathered before the Grotto in faith, hope and prayer.

Pilgrimage Prayer Intentions

This year Bishop Mark has invited everyone to pray for the following intentions during the Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes.

We pray:

For our Holy Father, Pope Leo.
For all who have gone before us in the pilgrimage of Lourdes throughout the 75 years of our Diocesan Pilgrimage.
That we, and all pilgrims, will respond to the message of prayer and conversion, walking together in Eucharistic faith and love throughout our lives.
For an abundance of new vocations within our Diocese, especially to Marriage, the Priesthood and the Consecrated Life.
For peace throughout the world, especially in places affected by conflict and suffering.
That the threat of euthanasia to the sick and elderly will be averted, and that the lives of the most vulnerable will always be cherished and protected.
That, through the intercession of Our Lady and Saint Bernadette, we may remain faithful pilgrims throughout life, always living in the joy of the Gospel.
